moveUP is a Belgian startup that offers a remote post-operative rehabilitation program. A COVID-19 module was launched in March 2020. It allows healthcare professionals to follow their patients’ health status at distance.
The app and the activity tracker allow for a close follow-up of patient’s activity, wound evolution and pain management. moveUP relies on a team of doctors and physiotherapists who create medical protocols adapted to the patient’s previous physical condition, evolution and needs all along the rehabilitation process. This solution has two major outcomes: on the one hand, patients can follow a comprehensive rehabilitation program from home and be guided by healthcare professionals at distance, and on the other hand, surgeons, physiotherapists and general practitioners can access data and PROMS regarding the patient’s recovery. moveUP thus opens a long-standing black box in the field of orthopedic surgery.
